Description
Two pillowcases, 100% Organic & Fair Trade unbleached Cotton.
The cloth used is woven in K.V.Kuppam, India using traditional techniques on handlooms from organic cotton grown from non GM seed in Gujerat in India. All fabric has been pre-shrunk by leaving to dry in the Indian sunshine. Only non azo dyes - and non chlorine bleaches have been used during manufacture.
Any imperfections are part of the character of the cloth and will not affect its strength.
The K.V.Kuppam Tailoring Societies employ 213 tailors, cutters and hand-finishers to turn the cotton into clothes, bags and many other products. The tailors are paid above average wages, but more importantly are provided with full and secure employment all year round. The Society members have a provident fund, retirement gratuity, sickness benefit and health care.
