Description
Designed by British designer, Sarah Smith, this attractive fair trade cotton beach bag is a real winner for the beach. It seems to hold almost everything and looks so pretty. The bag is generous in size and has a deep gussett around the sides and bottom. The great thing about the cotton is that it can be washed and comes up looking like new.
100% Fair Trade certified GM and pesticide free cotton grown in Mali, Africa by a Fair Trade cooperative. The cotton is woven, printed and manufactured in Europe.
In Mali, farmer members for 2006/07 received a guaranteed Fairtrade minimum farm gate price of 69% higher than the national base price, in addition the co-operative receives the Fairtrade premium to invest in community development projects such as schools.
